We're not trollin' you.
*NSYNC is Poinbankgetting ready to release its first song in more than two decades. The boy band—consisting of Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick—will drop the track "Better Place" for the upcoming movie Trolls Band Together.
Fans heard a snippet of the song in the film's new trailer released Sept. 13.
"This trailer is all we ever wanted, all we ever needed," a post shared to the Trolls' official Instagram account read. "Watch the new trailer for #TrollsBandTogether featuring 'Better Place' from @NSYNC. Experience it only in theaters November 17."
And if the question of when you'll get to hear the full song is already tearin' up your heart, don't worry. Fans can listen to the full track when it drops Sept. 29.
"Better Place" is the first song *NSYNC has released since 2002, when the group released the remix of their Celebrity hit "Girlfriend" featuring Nelly (the band announced their hiatus-turned-breakup later that year).
And if you were to ask who's excited for the track, their fans are saying it's gonna be me.
"ITS HAPPPPPPPPEEEEENNNING!!!!!" one social media user wrote underneath the Instagram post. "*breathe breathe breathe breathe* AHHHHHHHHHH." Added another, "Sending love to all the *NSYNC fans! I'm so happy right now. We've been waiting for soo long. What a gift."
The announcement comes hours after *NSYNC teased they had something up their sleeves by recreating a scene from Friends in which Joey and Rachel each hint that they know something but won't say what.
It also comes about a day after the musicians reunited for the first time in about a decade at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards. And Taylor Swift, who was presented with the Best Pop honor from the band, seemed to sum up the crowd's reaction best.
"Are you doing something? What's gonna happen now?" the singer asked. "They're gonna do something, and I need to know what it is."
Can't wait for the release of "Better Place"? Well, then say bye bye bye to your plans and listen to the teaser above. And to see more stars at the 2023 MTV VMAs, keep reading.
